We have flowers on the altar in the main church, and also in the chapel throughout the year, except during Lent.
There are two weekly flower rotas, one for the church and one for the chapel. Church members usually choose a date (or dates) when they would like to provide flowers, sometimes to mark a significant anniversary, or simply as a gift.
If you would like to be part of this rota, please contact:
Jane Mason, Parish Administrator

The Friends of St Anselm's was formed in the late 1980's and started because people who moved away from the area wanted to keep in touch with the church. In exchange for a small annual subscription to cover cost and postage, they receive a church magazine every month.
Over the years, the Friends have been very generous in their support of the church, supporting the various needs they read about in the magazine and donating funds that have enabled special items to be bought. The church is very grateful to the Friends for their continuing support.
If you would like to become a Friend, please contact John Percival (0208 951 0400). The subscription is £12 a year, and you will receive a copy of the church magazine each month.
We have a special Friendship Link with Christuskirche church in Watzenborn-Steinberg, Pohlheim, Germany. For more information about this link, click here.
If you need to arrange a funeral, please contact the vicar.
We are a group of 11 people, all of whom have been trained by a Diocesan approved scheme. We pray together as a group or in pairs, and all our work is confidential. We offer prayer in the peaceful environment of the Quiet Room at St. Anselm’s, during or after the 10.30 service, and at other times as needed. We can also visit people at home.
We meet as a group every 4-6 weeks, usually in one of the team’s home. For more information, please contact Margaret Gauntlet (020 8907 2343), or Clare Williams (0208 204 5194).
There are several Home Groups, who meet to share fellowship and spend some time focusing on their faith. For example, studying the Bible in various ways or discussing current issues.
The number of people in each group varies, but is usually around 6-8. Some are led by one person, and others share leadership around the group. We meet in our homes, but times and venues vary. If you contact Ann Percival (020 8951 0400) then Ann can then put you in touch with a group that you might like to join.
We have child-friendly bible classes, which means we pray, create things, draw, do drama and much more! We have two age groups, 4-7 and 8-13+. About 30 children attend. We meet on the first, third and fourth Sunday of the month, between 10.30 – 11.30am. Our contact person is Georgina Esmond, via the Parish Office on 020 8909 0788.
We are a group of local churches who meet together to share prayer meetings and fellowship. The group includes the following churches:
All Saints Roman Catholic Church
St Anselm’s (C of E) Church
St.Mary the Virgin (C of E) Church
We usually meet on the 1st Monday of the month at one of our member churches, for our monthly prayer meeting at 8.00pm. Contact our secretary John Percival (020 8951 0400)
We are a group of women, of any age, who meet together to share a varied programme of activities. These include poetry evenings, quizzes, beetle drives and speakers on different subjects. Visitors—including gentlemen—are always welcome! We begin our evening with a prayer, followed by the event planned for that evening, and end with a cup of tea.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 8 pm in the Church Hall. For more information, please contact either Eileen Anderson (Leader) on 020 8933 5522, or Iris Platten (Secretary) on 020 8907 6082.
The Parish Magazine is published once a month, and costs 50p. To contact the editor of the Parish Magazine, please contact the Parish Office on 020 8907 6409. All items must reach the editor by the 12th of the month.
This is an open gathering for all men, of any age, any Church or with no Church connections at all! We have breakfast together, followed by a talk, a presentation or discussion, and the proceedings finally end at 9.45am. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month (except August), at 8.30AM in the Church Hall. “The Ladies” prepare fruit juice and cereals, and serve a cooked breakfast with toast, tea or coffee. Usually, about 25 of us come along, and to ensure that everyone is catered for, it is vital that “The Ladies” are given advance notice of who wants to come. All men planning to attend are asked to tell our Church Administrator Jane Mason, or Irene Kingsley beforehand. To cover the costs, £2.00 is collected from all those attending. If you are interested, please contact: Jane Mason (020 8907 6409) or Irene Kingsley (020 8907 0224) for catering, or John Mackie (020 8930 8187) for all other information about the men’s breakfast.
Our group is part of the world-wide Mother’s
